EN 10277-2 S355J2G3C Cold-Drawn High-Tensile Steel for Folding & Cold Forming
S255J2G3C is used for folding, cold forming and cold drawing grade. The high-tensile fine grained steel is applicated for welding constructions of dynamic load at temperatures up to -20 °C. Compared to S235J2G3C is achievable a considerable material saving due to its by 120 MPa higher yield point. The steel shows compared to S235J2G3 a by 15% higher resistance to mineral sliding wear. Max. product thickness accounts 20 mm for folding grades and 8 mm for cold forming grades. As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
