DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.2307 T6 Aluminum Alloy – High-Purity, High-Gloss Finish
The alloy Al99,85MgSi belongs to the standardised aluminum shining materials. Aluminum alloys being based on aluminum with a minimum purity of 99,85 %, can be polished after mechanical polishing chemically or electrolytically to high gloss. The produced gloss degree must, in order to remain preserved, be afterwards anodised. The degree of arranged reflection depends again on the degree of purity and the anodising layer thickness. The alloy Al99,85MgSi belongs due to its composition to the hardenable shining materials. It is cold and hot hardenable. Strength grade up to F 24 can be achieved by hot hardening. The alloy Al99,85MgSi has a very good corrosion resistance and is well cold and/or warm formable. This alloy is standardised only as extruded section (DIN 1748 T1 and T2) and piece of drop forge (DIN 1749 T1 and T2). Application: For decoration goods and/or Bijouterie articles for metal goods of all kinds (e.g. building fittings, table-ware, flow pressed parts) and for reflectors.
