DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.3525 T6: Premium Al-Mg-Mn Alloy

The alloy AlMg2Mn0,3 has similar characteristics as the alloy AlMg1,8. The additive of Mn causes an increase of the heat resistance of the material apart from a strength increase with the products of extruding. The material is characterised by a good corrosion resistance. It is sea water steady and steady against saline atmosphere. With the Mg content the strength increases, the cold forming capacity decreases. The alloy is nature hard, i.e. that only by a cold forming shaping however by a purposeful heat treatment a strength increase cannot be attained. The splinter-giving workability and the weldability are improved with increasing Mg content. Application: For metal goods (including table-ware), in food industry (including commercial devices). For transport containers e.g. rolling barrels, in the packaging industry as cans as well as for describe (e.g. road signs).
