CAMX 2020 Unveils Full Conference Schedule & Keynote by Airbus Materials Expert

CAMX 2020, North America’s largest composites and advanced materials industry event, announced on August 24 its live and on-demand virtual conference program, boasting more than 100 technical paper presentations and education sessions. The general session and keynote speaker will feature Airbus’ Material Fast Track leader and general advisor for Materials Technology to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Isabell Gradert, with insights on Airbus’ sustainability plan to be the world’s first aircraft manufacturer to market a zero-emission aircraft by 2035. She will explore how Airbus will get there and the role materials and composite technologies will play.

According to CAMX, featured sessions will be hosted live, September 22-24, 2020 with dedicated time for real-time Q&A with speakers from Microsoft (Redmond, Wash., U.S.), Uber Elevate, BFG International (Manama, Bahrain), Joby Aviation (Santa Cruz, Calif., U.S.), Anzac Contractors (Miami, Fla., U.S.) and the Florida Department of Transportation (DOT; Tallahassee, Fla., U.S.). A new closing general session titled “Good Day, CAMX!” will be a virtual education and networking opportunity that offers all attendees insights about leading industry topics regarding new trends and material applications from the perspective of the next generation of composites professionals. Further, the pre-show will include five virtual conference tutorials. According to CAMX, the two-hour sessions take a deeper dive into the most interesting topics in the composites industry. The virtual classes connect attendees and instructors for in-depth learning, with demonstrations of materials, and ample time for questions and conversations. This year’s tutorials will be hosted virtually on September 8-10, 2020.
