Unlike conventional purge chemicals, PFM117632 rapidly clears melt flow channels, cutting purging times from several hours to just minutes. In pilot trials on a Bekum H‑121 machine, the product reduced HDPE purging time from hours to a mere 12 minutes when purging purple resin to a clean, natural shade.

PFM117632 is formulated for maximum processing temperatures of 500 °F (260 °C) and is compatible with both HDPE and PP lines. A 5 % letdown ratio of just 2 lb per batch proved sufficient across six additional colors, yielding consistent results.
