Slide Products Unveils Hi‑Temp Purge: Rapid Resin Clean‑Up for High‑Temperature Engineering Polymers
Slide Products Inc. of Wheeling, Ill., has introduced Hi‑Temp Purge, a next‑generation compound engineered to clean high‑temperature engineering resins from screw and barrel components with unprecedented speed and reliability.
The formula remains stable at temperatures up to 750 °F, making it ideal for tough resins such as PPS, PEEK, PET, LCP and PEI. Unlike conventional purging agents that degrade or burn at these high temperatures, Hi‑Temp Purge dissolves residue, slashes purge times for resin swaps, color changes, and eliminates carbon build‑up inside the barrel.
Slide’s purge engineers are ready to partner with molders to design customized purge protocols that minimize downtime. The product is sold in convenient 50‑lb boxes or large 1,000‑lb gaylords for high‑volume operations.
