DuPont Delrin Renewable Attributed: Regina Adopts 100% Bio‑Based Acetal for Conveyor Components

The newest addition to DuPont Mobility & Materials’ (M&M) Delrin acetal portfolio is 100% bio‑feedstock from waste and produced using 100% renewable energy. Regina, a pioneer in conveyor technology and global supplier of high‑performance chains, belts and components for industrial and motorcycle applications, has chosen this material. Delrin Renewable Attributed polyoxymethylene (POM) is the first acetal certified by the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) under mass‑balance principles.

Delrin Renewable Attributed delivers outstanding mechanical performance while enabling designers to reduce the carbon footprint of functional parts. The resin can be recycled up to 100% via regrind and is already available worldwide for automotive, industrial, consumer, and electronics applications.

Regina has long relied on Delrin as the core thermoplastic for its eFast, DK2 and Up chain and modular belt lines. The switch to the Delrin Renewable Attributed portfolio expands its product range and reinforces Regina’s commitment to sustainability across conveyor bottling and glass manufacturing sectors.

DuPont M&M recently announced that the material was named a finalist in the R&D100 Awards’ mechanical/materials category, presented by R&D World Magazine. The R&D 100 Awards, now in their 59th year, are widely regarded as the “Oscars of Invention,” celebrating the year’s most innovative technology products and services. DuPont has been a finalist 17 times and has won six R&D100 Awards over the past eight years.
