Nova Chemicals Launches 100% PCR LDPE/LLDPE Resins for Sustainable Flexible Films
Nova Chemicals has introduced the first product in its expanding portfolio of polyethylene recycled plastic resin (PE PCR) solutions. These 100 % PCR LDPE and LLDPE grades are engineered to help brand owners and converters achieve their packaging sustainability targets without compromising performance.
- Natural rLLDPE/LDPE – sourced from distribution centers, ideal for collation shrink, stretch wrap, and e‑commerce films.
- Natural rLLDPE/LDPE (agricultural film) – a recycled agricultural film that excels in re‑use for agricultural films, heavy‑duty shipping sacks, collation shrink, and e‑commerce applications.
- White rLLDPE PCR – produced from closed‑loop agricultural and irrigation film recyclate, suitable for agricultural film, heavy‑duty shipping sacks, collation shrink, trash bags, liners, and e‑commerce uses.
Greg DeKunder, Nova’s vice‑president of marketing, emphasized the company’s commitment to technical support. “Our dedicated team brings extensive applications and additive expertise to help customers accelerate development work. We aim to be a one‑stop resource, providing the products and technical resources companies need to meet their sustainability goals,” he said.
Nova has also secured agreements with Merlin Plastics and Revolution to supply PCR resins. Merlin will deliver FDA‑LNO HDPE PCR suitable for consumer packaging, including food, while Revolution supplies LLDPE/LDPE PCR for a wide range of packaging applications.
