ACEO® Unveils Breakthrough Silicone 3D Printing Technology

ACEO® Unveils Breakthrough Silicone 3D Printing Technology

At the 2017 Rapid.Tech show, ACEO®—a leading division of Wacker Chemie and a long‑time RP Platform user—announced a game‑changing silicone 3D printing solution. After years of research, the team has successfully developed a dissolvable support material that meets the complex geometries demanded by modern additive manufacturing projects. This milestone marks the first time silicone can be printed reliably and is now available for commercial ordering.

The new material is supported by a full ecosystem of dedicated printers and tailored software, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows. By addressing the key challenge of support removal, ACEO® has opened the door for silicone to be used across a spectrum of applications—from detailed prototypes and functional parts to bespoke custom designs.

ACEO® demonstrates the technology live in its Open Print Lab, where visitors can experience the capabilities first‑hand and receive hands‑on guidance from experienced 3D printing specialists. This hands‑on support, combined with the integrated hardware and software, is designed to accelerate adoption and deliver tangible value across industries.

We anticipate that this innovative silicone platform will become a valuable tool for designers and manufacturers seeking the flexibility and durability of silicone in additive manufacturing.
