Hahn Group Strengthens Automation Portfolio with Acquisition of DAHL Automation
Hahn Group GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) has acquired DAHL Automation (Meinerzhagen, Germany), an integrator and contract partner for leading robotic brands such as Universal Robots and Kuka, and a supplier of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) from manufacturers like MiR, Nipper, and Robotize. DAHL employs 30 skilled engineers in Meinerzhagen, specializing in cobot integration, gripper systems, and advanced image-processing solutions.
Detlev Dahl, founder and managing director of DAHL Automation, will continue to head the company post-acquisition. In a statement, Dahl noted that the deal will broaden DAHL’s service portfolio alongside its sister companies within the Hahn Group, opening new markets and industry verticals. Hahn’s portfolio now spans 27 locations and 1,400 employees, with subsidiaries such as GeKu, Invotec, REI Automation, rethink robotics, Waldorf Technik, and WEMO. In the United States, the group is represented by Hahn Plastics Automation Inc., headquartered in Connecticut.
DAHL’s expertise in AMR and AGV technologies further expands Hahn’s footprint in this rapidly evolving sector.
