FANUC Expands SCARA Robot Line: Six Models, 3–20 kg Payloads, 400–1100 mm Reach

FANUC America, based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, has broadened its SCARA robot portfolio to include six new models that deliver unprecedented versatility and performance. The lineup now features the SR‑3iA, SR‑6iA, SR‑12iA, and SR‑20iA, each available in 4‑axis configurations and offering payloads ranging from 3 kg to 20 kg with reach capabilities between 400 mm and 1,100 mm.

The compact SR‑3iA and SR‑6iA models, available in both 4‑axis and 3‑axis (SR‑3iA/H and SR‑6iA/H) variants, are ideal for tight workspaces where footprint is critical. Their lightweight design does not compromise on precision, making them suitable for high‑speed pick‑and‑place and assembly tasks.

For higher‑payload applications, the SR‑12iA and SR‑20iA bring a generous vertical stroke and optional ruggedization features. These models support internal cable routing and are engineered to operate reliably in harsh industrial environments, minimizing electromagnetic interference and maximizing uptime.
