Bubble Power sounds exciting…And since when have bubbles become beneficial in Electronics?  Unveiling Nuclear Fusion Inside Large Gas BubblesBubble Power is actually Nuclear fusion occurring inside large air bubbles of a gas. This is, in fact, Sonofusion “Tiny gas bubbles are imploded by sound waves which can make hydrogen nuclei fuse”.    Unveiling Nuclear Fusion Inside Large Gas BubblesSonofusion is also known as Acoustical Inertial Confinement Fusion. What happens is that a flask filled with a liquid is subjected to ‘cavitation’ or in other words vapor cavities are introduced into the liquid. These cavities are achieved by a change of pressure on the liquid resulting in the formation of small liquid free zones. Further increase in pressure will excite the tiny air bubbles causing them to grow and finally collapse due to the extreme temperature inside the bubble. (Pressure variation is under taken using sound waves from a source of sound also called ‘Ultrasonic Acoustic Waves).    When the bubbles collapse they produce visible flashes of light (Sonoluminescence), by generating enough heat from the bubbles we can make the atoms in the liquid to fuse together.    For years now research teams have joined forces to create Acoustic Fusion Technology Energy Consortium (AFTEC). With the increasing population and the peaking Electricity Consumption, finding New methods of energy production becomes ‘necessary’. Bubble fusion is not yet successful and requires more research and world collaboration.
