FAA Honors Goodrich Corp. for Outstanding MRO Training Excellence

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has officially recognized Goodrich Corporation for its exemplary work in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) training. Several Goodrich sites across the United States received commendations for exceeding FAA performance benchmarks.

Honored locations include Goodrich MRO facilities in Dallas, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Los Angeles, California; Wichita, Kansas; Monroe, North Carolina; Foley, Alabama; and Everett, Washington. Each of these sites employs a team of aviation maintenance technicians who have earned FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) awards.

Goodrich’s Aircraft Wheels and Brakes service centers in Texas, Kentucky, California, and Kansas were singled out for their robust training programs. These four facilities achieved an impressive 80% participation rate in FAA-approved training and maintained a 97.3% on‑time delivery average, underscoring their commitment to quality and safety.

In its second year of eligibility, 52 Goodrich Customer Services employees at the North Carolina site earned AMT awards ranging from Bronze to Diamond. One technician received a special recognition award for exceptional support of the FAA Aviation Safety Program. The Monroe location specializes in component repair and overhaul services.

Goodrich’s Alabama Service Center has earned recognition for seven consecutive years, with 48% of eligible employees receiving individual AMT awards. This center provides MRO services for critical aircraft components, including nacelles, thrust reversers, and flight controls.

For the eighth straight year, the Aviation Technical Services facility in Washington received individual AMT awards for 169 technicians. This site focuses on airframe heavy maintenance, modifications, and component repair and overhaul.

The AMT award program incentivizes technicians and their employers to pursue continuous learning. Awards are tiered from Bronze to Diamond based on annual training hours, fostering professionalism and safety across the aviation industry.
