Unilever Enhances TPM Across the Americas with Informance’s Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence
Informance International, a global leader in enterprise manufacturing intelligence, announced on March 8 that Unilever has extended the use of its SaaS‑based TPM solution to all plants in the Americas. This expansion supports Unilever’s Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy, which aims to boost manufacturing efficiency and quality across the region.
The move toward a standardized, data‑driven approach is the next chapter in the long‑standing partnership between Unilever and Informance. With the addition of 21 plants—including those in the ice‑cream division—Unilever now deploys Informance’s cloud‑hosted solution across the Americas, enabling real‑time performance intelligence that identifies improvement opportunities, aligns plant tactics with corporate strategy, and sustains operational excellence gains.
"Informance allows us to apply TPM loss‑elimination principles across our plants," said Terry Herber, manager of Supply Chain Capabilities, Americas, Unilever. "We have long used Informance to improve OEE, and now we can view this data from anywhere, replicate gains across multiple sites, and accelerate performance gains."
Consumer‑goods manufacturers continually seek ways to increase supply‑chain efficiencies. Industry surveys show that basic OEE tools are insufficient; leading companies demand solutions that deliver actionable facts, pervasive visibility, and real‑time data to drive optimization plans.
"We’re proud to partner with Unilever to help them reach their performance goals," said Sunil Singh, CEO of Informance. "Beyond advancing their operational excellence, we enable them to quantify and report the financial impact of improvements, contributing to bottom‑line performance with minimal investment."
Informance is a market leader in Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) SaaS. "The on‑site hosted model offers enormous benefits for Unilever at a regional scale," said John Oskin, EVP of Informance. "Our advisory services and rapid deployment will accelerate operational impact."
