New A6630 Temperature Module Enhances CSI 6500 Machinery Health Monitor with Vibration & Temperature Insights

Emerson Process Management has unveiled the A6630 temperature module, a powerful addition to the CSI 6500 Machinery Health Monitor. This module extends the monitor’s existing vibration‑tracking capabilities by delivering precise bearing temperature readings, an essential metric for safeguarding turbomachinery, compressors, and steam turbine generators.

The A6630 accepts RTD and thermocouple signals directly, cutting installation complexity and cost. By integrating temperature data, operators gain a fuller picture of equipment health, enabling earlier detection of wear, lubrication issues, and potential failures.

Compliant with the API 670 specification, the A6630 offers up to six channels, 4‑20 mA outputs, relay logic for voting, and automatic machine trip capabilities. It is hot‑swappable and supports Easy Integration for rapid deployment with DeltaV and Ovation process automation systems.
