and motors come in three basic configurations or styles.

Standard configuration. This standard configuration is a single-stage unit. It has a pump motor, an impeller, and a suction screen (see Figure 12-1). The suction screen separates dirt from the water before it enters the pump motor. The impeller is a rotating disk that provides hydraulic pressure to operate the hydraulic system.

Two-stage configuration. A two-stage unit has two impellers with one suction screen (see Figure 12-2). This allows you to double the flow rate of your hydraulic system by using only half as much power as would be required in a single-stage system.

Three-stage configuration. A three stage unit has three impellers with one suction screen (see Figure 12-3). This allows you to triple the flow rate of your hydraulic system by using only half as much power as would be required in a single-stage system.

There is a 3-section design that is capable of operating at 2900 PSI, a 4-section design that can operate at 3800 PSI and a 5-section design that operates at 5150 PSI.

The PSI rating is the amount of pressure needed to force air into the airbag. The higher the PSI rating, the more powerful the inflator. The more powerful inflator you need depends on how much weight needs to be lifted with your jack.

The jack is designed to lift up to 5000 lbs., but it will only lift a maximum of 2200 lbs. if it’s in the upright position. When the jack is in its horizontal position, it’s able to lift up to 3500 lbs., while in its vertical position it’s able to lift up to 1000 lbs.. This means that if you are lifting 2200 lbs., you should use the upright position so that you don’t have any problems with stability or safety when using this product.

The small form factor units are designed to be mounted on the outside of the rack or inside the rack on a blank panel. The mid-size units can be mounted on either the outside or inside of the rack. The full size units are designed to mount directly into any 19″ EIA standard rack using four mounting screws and/or rails.

All models come standard with an internal power supply, but an external power supply can be specified for remote installations where electrical outlets are not available. All models also include an Ethernet port for connecting to your network via standard Cat5e cable (no transceiver required).

The Vickers PPOC-M series Piston Pumps are available with a number of options including stainless steel pistons for corrosive environments, high temperature seals for high temperature environments (up to 350°F), stainless steel shafts for corrosive environments (up to 50% SO3), Teflon® lined shafts for abrasive fluids (up to 5 microns maximum particle size) and other specialized configurations.
