Socionext has begun volume shipping of the SC1711, a purpose‑built display controller designed for in‑vehicle head‑up displays (HUDs). The chip pairs seamlessly with Socionext’s SEERIS2D graphics engine and the high‑speed APIX2 serial interface, delivering a safe, cost‑effective solution for modern automotive interiors.

As automotive safety demands rise, HUDs are increasingly favored for their ability to keep drivers’ eyes on the road while still providing critical information. By minimizing head movements, HUDs reduce fatigue and enhance overall safety.
