Nanotec CL4‑E: Compact, High‑Performance Motor Controller for BLDC & Stepper Motors

The Nanotec CL4‑E motor controller delivers exceptional performance in a sleek, compact package. Designed for both brushless DC and stepper motors, it can output up to 1,050 W of peak power while operating at a rated current of 6 A—no additional heat sinks required.

Control is versatile: the CL4‑E supports CANopen and Modbus RTU communication, or it can run standalone with digital and analog inputs for flexible integration.

Equipped with field‑oriented control via encoder, Hall sensors, or sensorless methods, the controller uses speed and acceleration feed‑forward to outperform traditional PI algorithms in reference fidelity and dynamic response.

Safety is built-in: a 58 V operating voltage protects against the tolerances of 48 V battery packs and power supplies. Parameterization and programming are straightforward with Nanotec’s free Plug&Drive Studio software.

Whether you need precise motor control or robust stepper operation, the CL4‑E delivers reliable performance without the bulk.
