Renesas Expands Azure RTOS Integration Across RA, RX, and RZ/A Lines with FSP

Renesas Electronics Corp. has broadened its partnership with Microsoft Azure by integrating Azure RTOS into the expansive RA, RX, and RZ/A product families. The rollout begins with the new Renesas RA Flexible Software Package (FSP), offering a turnkey, cloud‑ready platform that couples the agility of Renesas' microcontrollers with Azure’s robust IoT ecosystem.

Renesas’ latest RA microcontrollers—designed for industrial automation, building systems, metering, healthcare, and consumer appliances—bring a range of performance tiers: the RA2 Series delivers up to 60 MHz, the RA4 Series up to 100 MHz, the RA6 Series up to 200 MHz, and the forthcoming dual‑core RA8 Series. Each core is pre‑loaded with Azure RTOS, the Azure IoT Device SDK for C, and full support for IoT Plug‑and‑Play, IoT Central, and IoT Hub.
