C&K Launches NanoT: The Smallest Tactile Switch for Ultra‑Compact IoT Devices

C&K has introduced the NanoT series, the world’s smallest tactile switch, engineered for next‑generation IoT devices such as smartwatches, health trackers, and hearing aids.
The switches fit into a 2.2 × 1.70 × 1.65 mm package, giving designers the flexibility to add features or shrink PCB real estate. Available in PIP or SMT edge‑mount variants, the NanoT delivers robust performance even in harsh conditions—vibration, drops, and liquid exposure—while extending product life cycles.
Key attributes include:
- Integrated actuator that streamlines design and reduces cost.
- Three force options: 100‑gf, 160‑gf, and 240‑gf.
- Electrical life of 300 000 cycles.
- IP67 rating, allowing use with PCB coatings.
“As wearable and medical devices shrink, it’s essential that the switches powering them meet evolving size constraints,” says Jérôme Smolinski, senior product manager at C&K. “NanoT is the smallest tactile switch ever released, marking a technical milestone that supports smarter, more compact product designs.”
