MicroMax M-Max 400 RC: Rugged Relay Interface for Rail Interlocking Systems
The MicroMax M-Max 400 RC delivers unparalleled reliability for all‑electric interlocking and distributed railway control systems. Designed to convert CAN‑interface signals—whether over twisted pair or single‑mode fiber—into precise relay outputs, the unit employs a robust “2‑out‑of‑2” architecture that guarantees continued operation even if one channel fails. External relays are wired to the control outputs so that the system functions as an AND logic gate, ensuring that only the intended signals activate the rail automation equipment.
Each M-Max 400 RC is powered by an independent supply line and features an internal ultracapacitor‑based UPS that provides up to 40 seconds of autonomous operation during a power interruption. The controller can support 12 or 24 paired relays, making it scalable for both small‑scale installations and larger, multi‑track environments.
Built to endure the rigours of railway environments, the M-Max 400 RC tolerates shock up to 40 g and vibration up to 6 g. It operates in humidity ranges from 5 % to 95 % (non‑condensing) at +25 °C, is IP65‑rated for dust and moisture protection, and functions reliably between –40 °C and +70 °C.
