Arrow Electronics Ships XoverIoT Sigfox Modules, Ready for Rapid IoT Development

Arrow Electronics now delivers XoverIoT’s SIGFOX‑MOD1‑certified Sigfox modules, enabling rapid development of IoT solutions with globally consistent, low‑energy Sigfox connectivity.

Available in two configurations—SIGFOX‑MOD1‑C featuring an integrated chip antenna and SIGFOX‑MOD1‑E with a U.FL socket for external antennas—developers can dynamically switch between short‑range FSK and long‑range Sigfox operation, tailoring solutions for industrial monitoring, asset tracking, supply chain, and smart infrastructure.

Both modules are powered by STMicroelectronics’ Sigfox chipset, which integrates an STM32L051K8 microcontroller, the S2‑LPQTR 868 MHz radio transceiver, and the BALF‑SPI2‑01D3 balun. The compact 37.6 mm × 15.0 mm × 3.8 mm package delivers exceptional battery life, drawing only 29 mA in transmit mode from a 3.3 V supply, and is certified for all Sigfox zones (ZC1‑ZC6).

Embedded firmware ships with the full Sigfox stack, controllable via standard AT commands. Alternatively, the 64 KByte Flash on the STM32L0 allows users to run custom applications directly on the module, maximizing efficiency and reducing system cost.

A comprehensive toolkit supports rapid prototyping: the SIGFOX‑DEV1 Arduino‑compatible STM32 Nucleo kit, the SIGFOX‑CLK1 mikroBUS module, and the SIGFOX‑USB2 dongle for seamless testing and diagnostics.

Arrow and XoverIoT also provide engineering services—including design‑in support, antenna design, product approval, and firmware customization—to accelerate time‑to‑market.
