Bosch IoT Gateway Software 9.0 Now Available

Bosch has released version 9.0 of its IoT Gateway Software, bringing comprehensive support for the OSGi R6 specification, enriched device‑access and automation APIs, and a suite of new communication protocols.

The software—formerly known as ProSyst mBS and mBS Smart Home—has been unified under the Bosch IoT Suite, enabling service providers worldwide to integrate virtually any asset, device, or appliance regardless of vendor or age.

With version 9.0, the gateway software supports a broad range of IoT scenarios across all industry sectors.

Key Enhancements

• OSGi R6 compliance for modular, dynamic deployment.
• Device‑access API now available in ZigBee, Z‑Wave, Camera, DECT ULE, and KNX modules.
• Automation engine built on Eclipse Smart Home, exposed via a new automation API.
• Expanded protocol support: EEBus, Modbus, Home Connect.
• JavaScript scripting module for custom logic.
• WebSocket‑based JSON‑RPC and REST remote events.
• Jersey‑powered REST container and new REST APIs for functions, groups, devices, and automation.
• General performance improvements and bug fixes across all modules.

Version 8.0 and 7.x of the former ProSyst mBS products reached end of life on March 1, 2018 and are no longer supported.
