Variscite Partners with Sequitur Labs to Deliver End‑to‑End IoT Security for i.MX8 Modules

Variscite has announced a strategic partnership with Sequitur Labs to provide a comprehensive security solution for customers building IoT and AI products on Variscite’s i.MX8‑based System on Module (SoM).

Sequitur’s EmSPARK Security Suite, coupled with the EmPOWER cloud services, helps IoT vendors address security challenges from the earliest design phase through to end‑of‑life. When combined with Variscite’s robust SoM portfolio, developers can accelerate time‑to‑market while mitigating risk.

Already fully integrated, Sequitur’s platform works seamlessly with Variscite’s i.MX 8M Plus modules – the DART‑MX8M‑PLUS and VAR‑SOM‑MX8M‑PLUS. These modules feature a 1.8 GHz quad‑core Cortex‑A53 processor, an 800 MHz Cortex‑M7 real‑time co‑processor, and embedded AI/ML acceleration. As part of Variscite’s Pin‑to‑Pin product family, they offer broad pin‑compatibility, ensuring scalability, longevity, and reduced development time, cost, and risk.

Sequitur is already extending support to additional i.MX 8 and i.MX 6 SoMs, expanding the secure development ecosystem.

Variscite designs and manufactures a full range of ARM‑based SoMs, delivering solutions from entry‑level to high‑performance. All in‑house production meets ISO 13485 medical and ISO 9001 quality management standards, underscoring the company’s commitment to reliability and safety.
