Nikola Labs Unveils Vero: A Wireless, Battery‑Free System for Industrial Equipment Monitoring
Nikola Labs has unveiled Vero, a wireless IIoT monitoring platform that eliminates the need for wired connections or disposable batteries, streamlining maintenance for industrial equipment.
"Battery-powered sensors typically last one to three years," explains Will Zell, CEO and co‑founder. "While that may suffice for a single device, managing thousands would require constant battery replacement—an operational nightmare. Vero turns that pain into an opportunity for efficient maintenance," he says.
Designed for retrofitting across all sizes and ages of production equipment, Vero enables manufacturers to transition from time‑based to condition‑based maintenance. Once installed, plant technicians instantly receive real‑time sensor data, which expert analysts translate into actionable recommendations.
"Giving raw vibration data without context is like handing an EKG report to a patient and expecting them to diagnose their heart condition," Zell notes. "Our analysts identify issues early and proactively advise on corrective actions."
The subscription‑based platform offers a free trial, custom system design, professional installation, and lifetime hardware and software upgrades.
