Composites United e.V. (Berlin, Germany) invites graduate students to enroll in the winter semester 2026/27 CU Trainee Program. The program offers a rigorous, study‑concurrent training path for those seeking deeper expertise in fiber‑reinforced composites. Applications close on August 7, 2026; the curriculum runs from October 2026 through March 2027.

The two‑semester format blends theoretical instruction with practical experience. The first semester delivers 3 ECTS credits through seven in‑person lecture days at leading German research institutions. Participants will cover:

In the second semester, students may choose to undertake a thesis project in partnership with a Composites United industry collaborator. At the end of the first semester, all candidates sit a written exam; successful candidates receive a certificate of participation. Individual universities will determine ECTS credit transfer.

Target applicants are those holding a bachelor’s degree and currently pursuing a master’s program. Proficiency in German is mandatory—lectures and all application materials are conducted in German. Attendance is required for at least six of the seven sessions; remote participation is not permitted. The cohort is limited to 14 students, and a travel allowance of up to £1,000 per participant is available.

Composites United also views the program as a strategic talent pipeline, offering member companies early access to motivated students for future recruitment.
