DIN 17730 Grade G‑Ni90Si – Cast Condition: Properties & Applications

G-Ni90Si is brittler than the material G-Ni95 (2.4170) and possesses increased resistance to wear. The tendency to galling at insufficiently lubricated bearing spots is low. The material possesses good corrosion-resistance to non-oxidizing mediums. It shows very good resistance to hot and concentrated caustic alkalies as well as to dry gases, e.g. chlorine. The material is applied in the chemical industry and in the food industry, for valves and fittings, in the apparatus engineering, for pumps, shut-off devices and the like. Processing properties: Weldability: not weldable.
