DIN 1652‑3 Grade 16MnCrS5 – Cold‑Drawn, Turned, Soft‑Annealed Steel for Automotive Gears, Shafts & Steering
The steel 16 MnCrS 5 is used for larger parts with higher core strength and better machinability in the vehicle and mechanical engineering (e.g. gears, shafts, steering parts). The lowest application amounts to -25 °C, the best application up to 50 mm nominal size.
