The material Ni99.6 with the material number 2.4060 is applied in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars, wires and forgings. It possesses good mechanical, thermic, electric and magnetostrictive properties and shows resistance to numerous corrosive mediums. Application for corrosion-resistant construction components, built-in parts for light bulbs and thermionic valves, e.g. for a multitude of manufacturing-technology plants, especially for the prevention of product pollution in the treatment of food, man-made fibres and caustic alkalies.
