PdCo40W20: Enhanced Wear-Resistant Alloy for High-Performance Contact Applications
The palladium-cobalt-tungsten material PdCo40W20, also Pd40Co40W20 or 40Pd40Co20W, has satisfactory corrosion behavior but very good wear behavior. It is ductile and age-hardenable, as well as machinable. The palladium-cobalt-tungsten alloy is used as a contact material for sliding contacts and potentiometer wire and as a monolithic contact spring material.
