EN 10277-4 Grade 16MnCrS5 Steel – Ferritic-Pearlitic Structure, Turned (+FP+SH) for High-Performance Applications

Steel 16MnCrS5 is suitable for parts of higher dimension in vehicle and machine engineering that require higher core strength and enhanced workability (e.g. gear wheels, shafts, steering parts). Lowest application temperature -25°C, most favorable application area up to 50 mm nominal size. As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
