EN 10139 DC01 Cold-Rolled, Strain-Hardened Steel – Grade C290 – Ideal for Cold Forming

Cold rolled uncoated low carbon steel narrow strip for cold forming.,The non-alloy steel DC01 acc. to DIN EN 10130 is suitable for cold forming of simple profile forms and components. Mechanical foldings are possible for thicknesses of up to 1,5 mm. To freedom of stretcher strains applies a period of 3 months after provision of the products for surface type B. Welding: DC01 is weldable by the following welding methods: MAG (metal-active-gas), plasma welding, laser welding, compression weld welding, resistance welding (spot, roll weld, buckle welding), arc welding. The steel acts as substrate for surface refined and coated bands and sheets. Application of DC01: household appliances industry, construction trade, car manufacturing, traffic system. Acc. to DIN EN 10139 DC01 is offered as cold rolled band or bar, cut in strength range HK270 to HK690. On welding of DC01in condition HK290 to HK690 has to be considered the potential influence to the mechanical properties
