EN 10095 X6NiCrNbCe32-27: High-Temperature, Solution-Annealed Steel for Pressure Vessels and Nuclear Applications
The high heat-resistant steel X6NiCrCeNb 32-27 (acc. to VdTÜV-Wbl 497 : 2001-06 also referred to as 5 NiCrCeNb 32 27), mat. No 1.4877, is applicated acc. to VdTÜV-Wbl 497 : 2001-06 for pressure vessels acc. to TRB 100 as well as AD-data sheets W 2 from -10 to 1000°C for pressure boilers acc. to TRD 101, TRD 102 and TRD 107 up to 1000°C. Further application in nuclear power engineering as far as nuclear rules or object related specifications approve the use from -10 to 1000 °C. The steel is fusion weldable (wire, rod or flux-cored wire metal inert arc welding, metal arc welding with coated rod electrode). Preheating and an heat treatment after the welding is not necessary. The material is cold and hot formable. At long-time use at higher temperatures an typical decrease of the notch impact energy at room temperature is possible (observeable at standstill and recurring pressure tests a.o. impact loads should avoid). Application beside the VdTÜV material data sheet in the power plant engineering.
