DIN 1681 GS-52 Heat-Treated Steel - Premium Wear Resistance for Heavy Machinery

GS-52 for castings without special stress with good wearing properties: application in the crane and conveyor system construction, in the construction of tools and processing machines, for construction machines, e.g. crawler pads, spring tension plates, crawler chain links, differential casings, brake discs. For castings with static or dynamic stress: application for cog wheels, toothed rims, eccentric wheels, drive tumblers, centre pivots, crawler chain links, clutch bodies, ball races, front walls, buffer discs, buffer heads. Limited suitability for surface hardening. Application for temperatures between -10 and +300 °C.
