EN 10263-2 Grade QSt 34-3 – Untreated & Turned Steel for High-Strength, Precision Engineering
The steel QSt 34-3 can undergo cold extrusion pressing and is suitable for the manufacture of mass-produced parts in general engineering, motor and automobile construction with high demands on the strength, surface condition and exactness of dimensions. Because of its smooth surface and high internal stress in the cold-worked edge zone, the vibration fatigue strength is increased. The parts possess favourable run characteristics and have good resistance to wear (phosphate layer). The fibre texture which is adapted to the construction component avoids damaging notch effects. The steel possesses optimum cold formability in the soft-annealed condition -- melting in fine-grained quality to achieve higher resistance to aging.
