Monel 400 Nickel-Copper Alloy – High Strength & Corrosion Resistance for Marine & Chemical Industries

2.4360 (NiCu30Fe) is a nickel-copper alloy resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures and widely used in the chemical, oil and marine industries. As a solution strengthened material, Monel Alloy 400 displays good strength, toughness and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 400°C. It is supplied by Columbia Metals in the cold worked condition as standard. It shows the following features and properties:

  • Good strength and toughness
  • Excellent corrosion resistance in marine environments
  • Good resistance to non oxidising acids, alkalis and salts
  • Not susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking
  • Readily weldable
