DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.3537 F22 Aluminium Alloy: Superior Strength and Corrosion Resistance

With AlMg2,7Mn a press effect arises with products of extruding, which causes noticeable strength increases in press direction. This feature is likewise a consequence of the Mn-addition like the increase of the heat resistance. AlMg2,7Mn can be used due to the relatively good physical properties also for statically loaded constructions. The alloy is characterised by a good corrosion resistance. It is sea water steady and steady against saline atmosphere. With the Mg content the strength increases, while the cold forming capacity decreases. The material is nature hard, i.e. that only by a cold forming, however not by a purposeful heat treatment a strength increase can be attained. The splinter-giving workability and the weldability are improved with increasing Mg content. The alloy Al2,7Mn is standardised as semi-finished material only as sheet metal or strip, thickness > 0,35 mm (DIN 1745) Application: In the apparatus engineering for receivers according to VdTUEV-Werkstoffblaetter (cold carburetor, liquid air separation), for tanks for very low-temperatures and for temperatures to 250 °C. In the automobile engineering for silo and tank trucks, dump truck hollows, buses, cool and air conditioning systems, in the building industry for carrying constructions and for thermal insulation as well as in food industry for commercial devices.
