EN 10028-7 Grade X6CrNiMoNb17-12-2 – Solution Annealed Stainless Steel for High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance

The austenitic steel X6CrNiMoNb17-12-2 is comparable to 1.4571 regarding corrosion properties. Increased corrosion resistance to nonoxidizing acids and halogenated media. The material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion even in sensitized condition. The steel is not mirror-polishable. It is permitted for pressure vessel engineering up to 300 °C. Up to 550 °C if there are no media causing intercrystalline attack. Application: in chemical apparatus engineering, in textile-, sulfite-, cellulose, fatty acid-, rubber and coloring industry
