EN 10088-1 Grade X1CrNiMoCuN20-18-7: Solution-Annealed Austenitic Steel for High-Performance Applications

The high corrosion resistant austenitic steel X1CrNiMoCuN 20 18 7 (new designation: X1CrNiMoCuN20-18-7), mat. number 1.4547, is applicable for pressure vessels acc. to TRB 100 and pipeline systems acc. to TRB 100 as well as AD-data sheet W 2 and W 10 from -60 to 400 °C., for steam boilers as per TRD 101 or TRD 107 up to 400 °C. as well as for pressurized gas tanks acc. to TRG 201 and TRG 203 from -60 to 50 °C. Further application in nuclear power engineering as far as nuclear regulations or object-related specifications permit use from -60 to 400 °C. The material is also allowed for pressure devices acc. EG guideline 97/23/EG under consideration of the chapter 4 appendix I. The welding suitability of the steel is examined allowing for generally accepted engineering rules for arc hand welding, TIG-welding and plasma welding (using of alloyed, covered rod electrodes and welding rods as well as welding wire of type NiCr20Mo9Nb, intermediate temperature max. 100 °C., without preheating and heat after treatment). VdTÜV-Wbl 473 : 2001-12 applies to strip and sheet, in terms of the mechanical-technological properties also for welded tubes. The material is resistant against intercrystalline corrosion in the delivery and welded condition up to400°C. To the material acc. to DIN EN 10088-1 : 1995-08 applies: The material X1CrNiMoCuN20-18-7 is applicated in solution annealed condition in the form of cold rolled strip, warm rolled strip, warm rolled sheet and rods, wire rod and profiles. It is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition.
