Stratasys and Solvay Launch Authorized Partner Program to Deliver Advanced FDM Polymers for Aerospace and Industrial Use
Stratasys has launched an Authorized Materials Partner Program designed to broaden the portfolio of high‑performance polymers available to manufacturers using its FDM technology. The program will feature Solvay as a key partner, bringing new materials to the Stratasys F900 3D printer.
Under the joint product roadmap, Stratasys and Solvay will co‑develop a high‑performance additive manufacturing filament based on Solvay’s Radel polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) polymer. The filament is engineered to meet the stringent FAR 25.853 compliance requirements for aerospace applications, and both companies plan to commercialize it in 2020. Additional specialty polymers tailored to other critical AM markets will follow.
Through the Authorized Materials Partner Program, Solvay gains access to exclusive tools and Stratasys expertise, enabling the development of materials that meet the company’s rigorous quality and performance benchmarks. The partners will publish a shared materials roadmap to guide Solvay’s selection and development of polymers for Stratasys FDM printers.
