Bamberger Polymers Becomes North American Distributor for Domo’s Advanced Nylon Compounds

Belgium‑based Domo Chemicals, with its U.S. office in Buford, Georgia, has announced a strategic partnership with established resin distributor Bamberger Polymers of Jericho, New York. Under the agreement, Bamberger will distribute Domo’s full range of engineered and virgin nylon 6 resins (Domamid), recycled nylon (Econamid), and nylon 66 compounds (Domonyl) throughout North America.

In 2020, Domo acquired Solvay’s Performance Polyamides Business in Europe—bringing its U.S. office in Alpharetta, Georgia—capturing Technyl (now Domanyl) nylon 66 engineering plastic operations in France and Poland, high‑performance nylon 66 fibers in France, and polymer and intermediates facilities across France, Spain, and Poland. This acquisition marked Domo’s entry into the nylon 66 market.

Bamberger Polymers has served the plastics industry for over 50 years, supplying high‑quality thermoplastics to injection molders, blow molders, compounders, extruders, and manufacturers of plastic products worldwide. Its technical sales team extends comprehensive distribution, technical support, and logistics across North America, positioning the company to introduce Domo’s product portfolio to a vast new customer base.

“Bamberger’s technical expertise and problem‑solving approach complement Domo’s custom compounding model,” says Rob Schultz, General Manager of Domo Engineering Plastics U.S. “Their access to the entire Domo Engineered Materials line, from automotive nylon grades to specialty composites based on PPS, TPU, and PPA, enables rapid, high‑value solutions for our customers.”

Domo’s Buford plant offers a distinctive product mix, including integrated nylon 6 and nylon 66 compounds and exclusive U.S. solutions such as Slique friction modifiers, TPU‑based Elastane, and high‑temperature, chemical‑resistant blends of PPA and PPS.

“We’re excited to champion Domo’s innovative, sustainability‑focused engineering plastics across the U.S. market,” notes Michael Wickersham, Managing Director of Bamberger’s Engineering Thermoplastic Products division. “Our partnership will expand Domo’s reach and deliver added value to our loyal customers.”

Domo’s portfolio serves automotive, industrial and consumer goods, agriculture, oil & gas, and energy sectors, providing customized, high‑performance solutions that balance performance with environmental stewardship.
