Wilo Partners with Domo Chemicals to Deploy Advanced Glass‑Reinforced Nylon‑66 Compounds for High‑Performance Pumps

Wilo’s U.S. office in Rosemont, Ill., has selected a 30% glass‑reinforced nylon‑66 injection molding compound that is heat‑stabilised and glycol‑resistant. The material, part of Belgium‑based Domo Chemicals’ Technyl line, delivers stable performance under continuous contact with water, making it ideal for premium pumps and pump systems used in building services, water management and industrial applications.

In the heating segment, Domo offers several formulations tailored for circulation pump applications. Wilo’s preferred grade is Technyl A218 V30 Black 34NG, used in the Wilo Para MSL/6-43/SC circulation pump for heating systems, according to Domo account manager Manuel Rossi.

For drinking‑water‑contact applications, the grade Technyl A218W V30 BLACK FA is also approved. Both grades exhibit comparable glycol‑aging resistance, with the 34NG variant offering a slight edge.

Domo’s Engineered Materials division houses the APT (Application Part Testing) laboratory, equipped to evaluate specimens and finished parts under extreme conditions. Parameters such as water temperature, pressure, flow rate, chlorine and oxygen concentrations, pH, and more can be precisely controlled. The lab’s results enable accurate predictions of performance across a product’s entire lifespan.
