Expanded Barricade Elastomer Line – 50 – 90 Shore A Thermosets That Process Like Thermoplastics

In response to growing industrial and consumer demands, Avient has expanded its next‑generation Barricade elastomers with two new grades, extending the durometer range from 50 to 90 Shore A. These advanced formulations deliver high‑temperature resistance and low compression set performance across the entire spectrum.

These crosslinkable elastomers are built on Fortrex® technology licensed from Cooper Standard. The proprietary thermosetting chemistry processes like a thermoplastic, enabling pelletized handling, CNC machining, injection moulding, and extrusion. The result is a material that marries the design flexibility of TPEs, the resilience of silicones, and the weight savings of conventional TPVs.

• 50 Shore A – Ultra‑soft, tactile haptics ideal for consumer touch‑points; a compelling silicone alternative.
• 90 Shore A – High‑rigidity yet flexible enough for demanding industrial components.

All Barricade grades are fully colour‑customisable, available in 60, 70, 80, 50, and 90 Shore A, and distributed worldwide.
