Piab’s piCobot vacuum‑cup gripper now offers a generic electrical interface and multiple mechanical mounting options compliant with ISO 9409‑1. This upgrade expands its compatibility beyond Universal Robots to a broad spectrum of collaborative robots and compact industrial machines.
Initially engineered for Universal Robots, the piCobot now seamlessly integrates with all cobot brands.
The piCobot combines a proprietary vacuum pump with precision suction cups. It weighs only 1.59 lb and can lift objects up to 15.4 lb. Customers can configure the gripper online, selecting a generic electrical interface with a standard cable or a Universal Robots‑specified interface, and choose from a range of mechanical mounting plates.
