Intertech Plastics Expands with Five New All‑Electric Toyo Injection Machines
Intertech Plastics LLC, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, has bolstered its production line with five state‑of‑the‑art all‑electric Toyo injection molding machines, supplied by Maruka for the North American market. The new units include two 35‑ton machines, a 55‑ton, a 90‑ton, and a 200‑ton model, enabling the company to meet rising demand across packaging, consumer goods, and industrial sectors.
When combined with the 200‑ton medical injection molding plant acquired in 2013, Intertech now operates a total of 55 machines, with clamp forces ranging from 35 to 1,500 tons. This expansion solidifies the firm’s reputation as a versatile, high‑capacity manufacturer capable of tackling complex, high‑volume jobs.
In line with its commitment to continuous improvement, Intertech introduced advanced automation to the facility. Two Wittmann Battenfeld top‑entry robots and a bespoke automated lid‑closing cell were installed, streamlining operations and enhancing product quality.
“This is the fifth consecutive year we’ve made significant investments in technology,” said a company spokesperson. “In 2021, we will roll out our ‘Part Perfect’ initiative and launch a five‑year Technology & Innovation Roadmap, while also allocating resources to expand our medical molding division.”
Intertech Plastics added five new all‑electric Toyo injection molding machines to its original facility in Denver.
