Trusted Remote Training Solutions Amid the Pandemic

Home » Providing remote training to serve you in a pandemic

The eMaint training department has a strong record of success with our in-person Boot Camps and onsite customer training programs. Our trainers have traveled to customer locations around the world to provide expertise in person. The customers appreciate this chance to receive face-to-face training and to have experts there to support them as they take their new eMaint CMMS live.

In March 2020, all our travel came to a halt because of the pandemic. Our team had to review our training processes to make sure they could be effectively delivered remotely. In a short time frame, we developed quality online Boot Camps as well as remote custom training sessions to fit our customer’s needs.

We have gotten positive feedback on these training sessions so far and continue to work to make them better.

Our remote Boot Camps have prepared agendas that include scheduled breaks between each topic. These breaks enable attendees to get up and walk around or even get back to their jobs while still attending the Boot Camp. Most of them are logging in from their workplace, and, with these breaks, the Boot Camp doesn’t take them away entirely from their daily tasks.

With custom training, customers decide the agenda

Custom remote training sessions differ from Boot Camps in that the customer organization chooses topics. Our planner puts together a custom schedule with these customer-chosen topics, with the customer selecting what days and hours work for their team.

The customer can have as many attendees as they wish to attend the training. With the trainers all being remote right now, the times and hours aren’t too strict. For example, some companies ask for two hours every day for three weeks. Since our trainers are not traveling right now, this is the best time to ask for a training schedule for this type.

Some feedback we’ve gotten is that the training is “engaging,” “a great learning experience,” and that our attendees “will be back for more training.” One recommendation we see consistently: “I wish I had taken this sooner!”
