Megger Free Seminars: Elevate Substation Maintenance with Expert Best Practices

Megger is launching a series of complimentary, one‑day seminars across the country, designed for electrical testing professionals who want to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability in substation operations.

These sessions, titled “Best Practices Substation Seminar and Product Showcase,” concentrate on high‑voltage circuit breaker testing, condition analysis, and transformer assessment. Each session features hands‑on demonstrations of proven techniques to maximize reliability, including the most widely adopted methods and best practices.

For circuit breakers, we’ll cover essential testing techniques—first‑trip testing, static and dynamic resistance measurements, vibration analysis—as well as how to formulate test plans and produce clear reports. Special focus will be placed on HV, EHV, GIS, and GCB applications.

Power transformer coverage will highlight recent advances in condition analysis, paired with practical demonstrations of the most useful test methods such as power‑factor testing, sweep frequency response analysis (SFRA), and insulation diagnostic analyzer (IDAX) applications.

Attendees will also receive actionable guidance on data collection, trending, and analysis, and how to meet NERC and FERC data‑management requirements—critical for North American utilities.
