GearWrench Announces @Work Video Contest – Win a Free Trip to Las Vegas for SEMA 2010

On June 17, GearWrench unveiled the GearWrench @Work contest, inviting professionals and hobbyists alike to showcase their expertise. Participants submit a video for a chance to win an all‑expenses‑paid trip to Las Vegas in November to attend the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association’s (SEMA) annual conference.

The contest opens today and runs through Friday, August 13, 2010. Whether you’re a plant mechanic, automotive technician, aviation mechanic, or weekend warrior, GearWrench wants to see how you put their tools to the test.

Contest Rules and Guidelines

1. Upload a video (max 5 minutes, 1 GB) to www.gearwrench.com before August 13, 2010. Show your toughest work environment, a challenging shop task, or how you tackle a difficult job with your favorite GearWrench tool.
2. A panel of judges will select 10 finalists. Their videos will be posted online on August 25, 2010.
3. Voting will take place at www.gearwrench.com from August 25 to September 29, 2010 by GearWrench enthusiasts.
4. The Grand Prize winner will join the GearWrench team in Las Vegas for the SEMA annual conference, November 2‑5, 2010. SEMA is the premier industry event where thousands converge to see the latest in automotive aftermarket and heavy‑duty tools. The winner will also meet the drivers from the Bimmerworld/GearWrench race team and speak with professionals about GearWrench tools.
5. The remaining nine finalists will each receive a GearWrench prize package.

Video specifications: No larger than 1 GB, no longer than 5 minutes. GearWrench recommends MPEG‑2 or MPEG‑4 format at 640×360 or 480×360 resolution.
