Apex Power Tools Launches 28,000‑sq‑ft Service Center Near Louisville's UPS Hub
A recently announced 28,000‑sq‑ft service and aftermarket center will serve all U.S. maintenance and repair operations for Apex Power Tools, located near the UPS Worldport Air Freight hub in Louisville, Kentucky. The new high‑throughput facility will consolidate the company’s U.S. service centers into a single, strategically positioned location, and is slated to begin operations on May 1, 2015.
"Our new service center is designed to significantly improve turnaround time for our U.S. customers, targeting a five‑to‑seven‑business‑day window," said Ken Kaszubinski, Vice President of Apex Tool Group. "With high throughput and optimized logistics, we will offer twenty‑times our current service flow capacity for motor vehicle, aerospace, and high‑end general‑industry fastening and material‑removal products."
The proximity to UPS Worldport enables rapid transportation of service and aftermarket parts. The center will support scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance onsite, delivering a 24‑hour turnaround from receipt to return shipment. Dedicated repair and test bays will accommodate electronic controllers, cable assemblies, angle heads, electric and pneumatic tools, and advanced drilling equipment.
"Real‑time service performance data allows us to coordinate parts more effectively and manage customer KPIs," added Kaszubinski. "This ensures we deliver superior value, customer service, and high‑quality restoration of hand and power tools using certified processes while driving down overall costs."
Training is a cornerstone of the facility. A full‑time aftermarket technical trainer will serve Apex’s sales, marketing, and service teams, as well as distributor partners and customers. An ISO‑certified quality management system and an ISO 17025‑accredited calibration laboratory will be operational to guarantee product compliance with industry standards.
The center will service Apex Power Tool products and select competitive brands across motor vehicle, aerospace, and general‑industry applications. For more information, visit www.apexpowertools.com.
