Vickers V10/V20 Series Single Vane Pumps: High Efficiency, Reliability & Long Service Life
The Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single vane pumps are simple and reliable recirculating pumps. They have been designed to provide high efficiency, high pressure capability and long service life at an economical price. The series is available in 2 sizes: 1/2″ NPT or 1″ NPT (1″ flange).
The Vickers V10/V20 series are single-stage pumps that use a single vane rotor to draw liquid from the suction side into the pump body. A fluid seal assembly is used to prevent liquid from escaping out of the pump body through the shaft seal. This type of pump cannot be used for liquids containing solid particles such as sand, dirt or other foreign matter because it will quickly damage the rotor vanes.
The seals are manufactured from Viton material which provides excellent chemical resistance and good compression set properties for long seal life. The seals are mounted on top of the rotor so that they do not interfere with its rotation or cause any axial thrust on the shaft when operating at zero differential pressure.

Vickers type V10/V20 pumps are single vane pumps made for industrial applications. They are designed to provide a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, while still being rugged and reliable.
The pumps can be used in virtually any application where the process needs to be controlled and monitored. The pumps have been used in chemical processing, food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals, water treatment and oil refining industries.
The V10/V20 series of single vane pumps is available with a variety of discharge ports. These include NPT threads, flanged connections or even “T” style connections for tubing applications. The pumps can also be fitted with a variety of different materials including stainless steel, carbon steel or Hastelloy C-276 materials depending on the application’s needs.

Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single vane pumps Review
These pumps are rugged and reliable, with a low noise signature.
The V10/V20 Series is a range of single vane pumps that are designed for use in applications where the highest operating accuracy and life expectancy are required. They feature a wide variety of materials and options to meet the most demanding requirements in terms of flow rate and pressure. At their maximum flow rates, these pumps can deliver up to 80% more power than similar models from other manufacturers.
Variable displacement axial piston pumps with an optional positive displacement capability (Cvx). These models have been specifically designed for high performance operation over a wide range of flows and pressures. They provide high reliability even under extreme operating conditions such as high vibration or severe shock loads due to the low coefficient of friction between moving parts which results in minimal wear during operation. The gears used on these units are made from high quality tool steel hardened by induction hardening which provides maximum toughness and durability while reducing noise levels during operation.
The V10/V20 is suitable for any application from general industrial use to demanding applications such as steel making and plastic injection molding.
The V10/V20 series pumps have been designed to be used in a wide range of applications, from general industrial use to demanding applications such as steel making and plastic injection molding.
The pumps are compact and have a low profile which makes them ideal for applications where space is limited. They can be mounted vertically or horizontally depending on the application requirements.
There are three different versions of the V10/V20 pump, the basic design, the enhanced design and the enhanced design with hydraulic pressure balanced shoe.
The basic version is a single vane pump with a fixed volute. This version has been in production since the early 1990s and over 100 000 units have been sold to date. The design of this version is not subject to any patent rights. It can be manufactured by any company that wishes to do so. The basic V10/V20 pump has been used for both industrial and marine applications, although it was originally designed for industrial applications only. In recent years we have seen an increase in demand for these pumps from the marine industry due to its superior performance compared to traditional gear pumps or centrifugal pumps when pumping seawater or other liquids with high levels of suspended solids such as mud or drilling fluids.
The enhanced versions of this product include an adjustable volute on top of the impeller shaft along with a hydraulically balanced shoe at each end of the shaft that allows us to match our impellers precisely to your application’s requirements so that we can provide you with a truly customised solution right down
The basic design is divided in two groups, the standard series V10 and the short delivery V20.
The V10 Series has a single vane rotor which means that all vanes are connected to one shaft. The advantage of this design is that the pump can be made smaller and more compact than a two-stage pump, while still delivering high efficiency.
They are available with various configurations of different impeller designs – open impeller pumps, closed impeller pumps and mixed flow pumps.
The standard series V10 has an open impeller design, with a variety of different impellers available to suit different applications. The impeller diameter ranges from 60mm up to 180mm with a maximum speed of 4500rpm. The materials used to manufacture these pumps include carbon steel and stainless steel (304 or 316). The maximum operating pressure is 100 bar (1450 psi).
The short delivery series V20 has a reduced bypass flow which allows for higher differential pressures at low flows.
The V10/V20 Series is a single vane pump designed to provide accurate control of flow, pressure and vacuum. The pumps are available in both high and low pressure models with a variety of shaft seal options from diaphragm to mechanical seal designs. The V10/V20 Series is also available with a variety of flanged end connections as well as other custom connection options.
The V10/V20 Series utilizes an internal lubrication system that provides continuous lubrication to the moving parts of the pump during operation. This eliminates the need for an external oil reservoir or oil supply line for most applications.
The enhanced design is divided into two groups; the standard series E with radial ball bearings and T with tapered roller bearings.
The short delivery series V20 has a reduced bypass flow which allows for higher pressure and higher flow. The standard series E is available in various sizes and can be used in applications such as water supply, waste water treatment, industrial cooling water and process cooling water.
The Vickers V10/V20 Series pumps are available in different shaft lengths: 1″, 2″ and 3″. The standard series E is available in both inch (1″) and metric (25mm) shaft diameter configurations while the short delivery series V20 comes only with a 1″ shaft diameter configuration.

Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single vane pumps Review
The Vickers V10/V20 Series-Single pumps enhanced design with hydraulic pressure balanced shoe is designed for low noise performance and efficiency at high pressures up to 7000 psi (480 bar).
The V10/V20 series operate as a single stage pump, but can be assembled with two independent pistons for double pumping action. The V10/V20 are available in both wet end lubricated and oil free versions. The V10/V20 series are ideal for vacuum applications up to 27 inches of mercury (2.0 bar).
The V10/V20 series have been specially designed to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry. They are available in both wet end lubricated and oil free versions.
If you’ve already made up your mind about purchasing a V10/V20 Series-Single vane pump, I would recommend that you buy the model that’s right for you. The Vickers brand has been around for more than 100 years and their products aren’t cheap. They’re designed to last and they should provide good service over many, many years.
